In 2010, the Boy Scouts of America approved a Scout-level
Webmaster position. The arm patch shown above is an
unofficial patch but it brings home the point that 21st
Century scouting embraces technology while holding fast to
its traditions. Troop 464 has two webmaster positions; one is assigned to an adult leader and the other is a Troop-level elected position for a Scout. The adult Webmaster is a person who thoroughly understands website technology and actually maintains the website, while simultaneously mentoring the Scout Webmaster during his term. The Adult Webmaster also provides continuity over time because the Scout Webmaster position is up for election every six months. The Scout Webmaster is the point-of-contact for the content of the website; he serves as the liaison between Troop members and the Adult Webmaster. Questions about the content of the Troop website should be directed to the Scout Webmaster listed on the Leadership page. For questions of an emergency or serious nature, or anything regarding the functionality of this website, please contact the Adult Webmaster. |
